Due to recent decisions made in the restructuring of Akheton Transportation Services, the Transportation arm of Akheton will no longer be providing transportation for high-level employees. The faction will only focus on asset relocation and transportation of low-level employees through the newly developed delivery network. As this system has been designed for the bulk of logistical orders we receive, and not for the luxury and speed which is expected by VIPs, we have decided to no longer provide that service. To mark the shift from personnel transportation to asset logistics, Akheton Transportation Services has been renamed to Akheton Logistic Services.  In the stead of our previous employee transportation, Akheton Logistic Services will provide the construction of starports, which will be able to provide the level of luxury and speed expected for VIP transport, for an affordable price for any faction who requires our service. After five long years of mourning, the citizens of Naboo formally held a vote today to determine the formal leadership, and therefore royalty, of the Naboo System. To outsiders, the Naboo monarcy system is seen as unique as it does not rely on a steady bloodline, but is infact a cross between a constitutional monarchy and a democracy, as the citizens vote to decide their leadership, based on their ability to lead, their popularity and many other factors. The untimely death of Queen Tiovata and the previous government during a cruise around the nearby Pii Asteroid Field shocked the planet. With many of their world leaders killed in a collision with an asteroid, the people of Naboo turned to Akheton Corporation, the largest corporation within the sector at the time, for aid. Within days, the Akheton president was sworn in as Regent of Naboo, and Akheton Corporation was given complete control of the planet's economy and infrastructure. Absolute control over the welfare of the planet was handed over to Akheton Corporation as a temporary measure, but after years of prosperity, growth and excellent leadership, the people of Naboo did not question the corporation's control, and the corporation did not question it's duty to the world. Today, on the anniversary of the accident which almost crippled the government of the planet, the people of Naboo have shown that they still believe in the leadership of Akheton Corporation, and have now formally voted them into nobility. Each candiate within the corporation was judged individually, and Naboo News Net is pleased to announce the result. Akheton Transportation Systems is in need of Vice President, Heavy Freight Director, and Light Freight Director and a few good pilots Vice President position pays 450,000. The Vice President is responsible for working with the two directors to keep pilot statuses updated, moderate forums to keep organization and to keep them updated, hire new pilots, and work with the President and the rest of the Akheton directorate to expand all of Akheton. Director positions pay 350,000. Heavy Freight is responsible for large orders. Any order to big to be reasonably done by a 1210. Works with hauling RMs, large vehicle orders, and ship transport HF director assigns orders to pilots and works with the VP to keep productivity up. Light Freight Director does the same (assigning pilots jobs) except for smaller orders. Small vehicle orders, npc, item, and droid transport. Both directors work together with the President and Vice-President to train and hire new members, and to also improve the efficiency of our services. Garek-al Shemah has been chosen to replace Mr Gevant as Vice President of Akheton Vehicle Corporation due to his excellent work leading the production division within the faction. Struggling between his business and family obligations, Tios`knumptu has decided to stand down from his presidency of Akheton Corporation and fight for glory in the recent clan skirmishes on nearby Ryloth. Often troubled with the dishonest tactics of some of his competitors, he decided that the business world was not for a warrior of his status, so left to help his clan battle it's rivals on his homeworld. As in the tradition of Akheton Corporation, the factions have been handed down to whoever seems most capable, and have been returned to the former President, Jenos Idanian. Hello I am Tios Knumptu as you all know. Other news I have been giving the honor to take Akheton Corporations into a new shining future as the new CEO. I have appointed Wes Reed as the new president of ATS to act as my right hand man in ATS. Things I plan to accomplish in the next upcoming year. *walks to a table with a cloth over it and briskly pulls the cloth so it flies off the table reveling 4 new cities on Naboo.* These new cities will increase AVC production capablities 10 fold. 2 new cities are mass production cities complete with 9 Factories in each. 2 other cities are being completed to house the new population influx. This will decease waiting time on all vehicles to the lowest level practical. Other thing I plan to do within the next year is increase development on Hudriel and Ohma D`un to increase Naboo's system value. Hudriel has become quite popular and there has been a recent casino built in one of the Major cities on the planet. Other projects currently being thought out is the production of a new and larger trading station above Naboo to help the major trading traffic in the system. Jenos Idanian, leader of the Akheton corporation for the last 6 months has stepped down. In the tradition of the corporation, he has handed full control and majority ownership to his successor, long time friend, and Vice President Tios Knumptu. Tios has worked for the corporation for many years, rising through the ranks in the last 12 months dramaticaly and everyone here at the corporation is sure he'll do an excellent job of leading AVC and ATS into the future. Mr Idanian has yet to announce his intentions for the future, but he intends to remain attached to the Akheton corporation and we are all very glad about that. A statement from Akhetons new owner, President Tios Knumptu will follow soon on this news channel, but as you can imagine, he is currently incredibly busy with his new role. Due to the new pricing strategy sales our skyrocketing and I'm a bit afraid I'll need to fire up the production team, otherwise our stocks will run dry. Because of the high demand of our vehicles and my limited time, I scouted the markets for someone who could give me a hand. Highly active, reliable and not annoying traders are hard to find. Most of the traders pass only 2 of the 3 tests. Adoy Baba was my first choice, but unfortunately he went on a leave of absence. Some time later I found an even better suited guy. Wes Reed. I was able to pry Wes away from his previous employer and for the moment he'll sell a limited yet interesting portfolio: FK-7s, S-Swoops and V-00 Rovers. I won't actively sell these. Later ofcourse Wes will be able to sell all of our vehicles. Wes and I will also serve as financial advisors. With a combined total trade record of nearly 300m over 1200 trades, we do have some experience. I'll leave it at that for the moment, keep the trades coming ! As soon as I got back to Naboo from my well earned holiday, I started building. I built and built and built and after that ... I ordered some more materials. You can see the results of my work if you look at Naboo, cities are being powered and the population and civilisation level are rising. Total population: 250,310,228 inhabitants !! We in Akheton Vehicle Corporation are proud of our beautifull planet and I wish to thank all who did the preparations for this big onstruction project. It is good to be working for Akheton according to the new Junior Vice President ! That would be me, by the way. Sales were good, probably because our new decreased prices. Only the price of our FK-7s was raised with 10k to decrease demand a little since the waiting lines were getting too long. We have most of our products in stock and taking orders on all others. To receive an ETA on larger orders one should contact our Director of Production. To enjoy free shipping of your newly bought AVC vehicle, one should contact the Director of Logistics. Akheton Vehicle Corporation is a faction in motion. Changes in the civilation level of Naboo and our staff (and not to forget our salaries, but I don't know if I may mention that) are proof of that. A ceremony was held on Naboo today, promoting Hal Gevant, the former leader of Akheton Vehicle Corporation, to Knight of Naboo. The unanimous vote between the Council Elders, the current rulers of the planet while the Royal Family is absent, decided that Mr Gevant was worthy of the title of Knight of Naboo, but also capable of performing it's duties. While most knighthoods in the galaxy are simply honourary titles, the rank of Knight of Naboo requires the person to devote all his time and effort towards the security of the Naboo system, and the defence of the Royal Family and all the Naboo people. His first assignment is to travel the galaxy to compare the defensive value of the Naboo system with other similar systems, and look for ways of improvement, and will be stationed aboard the Golan II station within the system to help coordinate the defence of the system. In his wake, Junior Vice President Jenos Idanian was promoted as his replacement within Akheton Vehicle Corporation, and has already began a push to bring the faction back up to it's former glory. The galaxy's first produced sandcrawler rolled off the production line at 5pm CGT today, after a 3 month build at a specialised manufacturing plant in Keren, Naboo. The vehicle, taller and longer than even the Empire's AT-AT walkers, is one of the largest in the galaxy, and is the only publicly available vehicle with a hanger bay to store more vehicles. It's immense cargo hold is also the largest of any vehicle, and many ships too. First I would like to thank Hal Gevant (and the others) for their trust and the opportunities they give me within Akheton Vehicle Corporation. I'll be taking off the workload a bit from Hal Gevant by acting as the AVC representative concerning trades. My office is open to all who have an interest in what I and AVC are offering or who wish to negotiate a contract or specific deals. I can be found in my office in the evenings from sunday to thursday. Other days and hours I'll check my datapad for urgent or simple matters. My Weequay biological clock is set to G(alactic)MT+1. As my first action as Director of Trading I will be adjust our vehicle prices to the current market conditions. A NEW Naval Shipyard has begun construction within the borders of the Naboo system, allowing the construction of naval vessels by Akheton Corporation. Due to low demand, Naval Shipyards were neglected on the system development list until very recently, when the order to push production of all available vehicles was made. This means that within 3 weeks, Akheton will be producing every available vehicle to the faction, and selling the majority to the public. Prices are due to be confirmed on the order page within the next week, and a huge sales push to bring Akheton back into the mainstream will be announced within a month. Dramatic Share Increase With news of the announcement, Akheton share prices have shot up by 5%, from 340,254cr to 358,162cr, and expect to rise dramatically in the future. As finally everyone have been rewarded for their had work in the last month, I would like to comment on an enormous contribution of a specific group to our company's development. In the last 4 weeks, 4 complete cities has been built by AVC, increasing the population and the civilisaton level of our home Naboo system. 3 of those being a repayment of an old debt, and the fourth one will become faction's main storage location for all our transactions. Dozens of facilities, bringing civilization into wild areas and, by their height, reaching the skies of Naboo and Hudriel, have been constructed in such a short period of time thanks to the titanic effort of the construction team, consisting only of two individuals, Mettuh and I. Quite impressive, I'd say. Of course, we wouldn't be able to do anything but flying up and down, without the input of all the people involved in getting our materials loaded into our freighters cargo holds.  Akhetons Director of production Darsh Schneider died on day 33 of year 8. He had been heading up the development of a new Swoop engine, capable of speeds only known to the fastest of pod racers. Testing the newest prototype himself on Akhetons test track, just outside of Theed, the vehicle exploded on it's third lap of the track. It is at this point un-known what happened to the vehicle, and investigations are on-going. The Akheton corporation will miss Darsh, who has been the driving force of their production for many years. [OOC: Darsh's player, was lost to us to cancer. He had suffered for many years with variations of the disease, seemingly beating it 3 times across his life. Unfortunately this time it was not to be. Congratulations to Kakashi Saotome, on becoming our third assistant Director. Kakashsi's work away from Naboo has been exemplary and he now joins Jor El and Chrellis Broliv as our Directors in waiting. Congratulations also go out to Ashla Ta and Mettuh Lupus, who are now Production and Construction Engineers Respectively. This recognises their knowledge of the systems they work with and there high activity levels. Thanks to both. I am as of now looking for someone to take up Darsh's duties as Director of Production, so that he can concentrate on being my second in command as Executive Director. As you can see, our new design is in place. Thanks to our winner Aidon Sadow, and all the other entrants for all the hard work they put in, lets hope Aidon doesn't spend all the prize in one shop. Naboo - Year 6 Day 365, 7:25 The people of Naboo have unanimously voted to appoint Saxon Vui as a Princess of Naboo. The combination of democracy and a monarchy unique to the nubian society allows the citizens to vote for their monarchy based on intellectual maturity instead of bloodright, and the current leader of Akheton Mining was considered due to the excellent leadership she has provided over the previous months. Although today's ceremony marks a milestone in the leadership of Naboo and the surrounding systems, the citizens have yet to vote for a King or Queen to rule their system, and are not expected to any time soon, meaning Dverol Nact, the current Regent of the system, will remain in command. |

Some people may notice a few changes here and there with the site. The reason being that I'm trying to learn PHP, and Khan, being his über efficient self, has made most of it so certain parts work for all the faction pages at once, which is a bugger when trying to add some unique parts. So if you see some changes to the site (the recent one being the place for the ICQ number on your profile, but no way to enter it on), just ignore them for now, and once I've finished fecking around on my test site, I'll install them here. Also, if anyone would like to help me beta test the addons, contact me and I'll tell you what you need to do. |

You can now claim a registration for the CP widget, or some limited edition Akheton Vehicle Corporation stocks. Remember that credit rewards are added to your bonus at the end of the month, but stock and widget rewards are sent as soon as possible. |

Due to IC reasons which will be made apparent soon, I have had to retire as President as Akheton Mining Corporation. To replace me, I have chosen someone with a lot of experience in Mining, and has proven countless times to be more than capable of running the faction, and has earned the respect of everyone here. The new President of Akheton Mining Corporation will be Saxon Vui. Upon appointment to her new position, she has chosen Israel Sousa to be her Vice President. Israel, who I have worked with on city design and construction has also proven to me his skill and integrity.
